Music For Canberra is a not-for-profit community music provider, and relies on the generous support of our government and private funding partners, as well as donations from the community.
If you would like to donate to Music For Canberra, please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can assist you with your kind offer to support community music in Canberra.
All donations over $2 are tax-deductible, and allow us to develop and resource our programs. Our aim is to provide accessible music-making opportunities to an ever-increasing and diverse cross-section of Canberrans who may not otherwise have access to the life-enriching potential of musical experiences.
When I donate, how will my contribution be used?
Community donations go a long way to helping improve the quality and reach of our programs. Previous donations have been used towards:
- Purchasing fit for purpose hand chimes for the Mixed Abilities Program to accommodate people living with disability
- Purchasing hand drums for in-school music programs designed to include economically disadvantaged children who may not be able to access extra-curricular music activities
- Funding printing materials for various programs, particularly targeting groups to enhance social inclusion and community engagement such as the Vivace and Allegro over 55’s choirs
- Contributions towards more musical equipment, such as a new amp for the Rock Academy youth band program, an important development springboard for young musicians
Every donation to Music for Canberra will contribute to a worthwhile program and assist our members with their musical journey. Thank you for your support of music education, social inclusion and community engagement.
