Why Donate to Music for Canberra?
We are a not-for-profit organisation focused on developing the next generation of musicians in Canberra, and ensuring that music-making continues to enrich the community.
As a not-for-profit, we rely on philanthropic donations to keep our tuition fees affordable, and give us the opportunity to present free events.
Your generous support can make a real difference in helping us to deliver high quality music education and performances to the Canberra community; no gift is too small!
Donations of $2 and more are tax deductible.
Donate to the CYO through the Australian Cultural Fund
MfC is working with the Australian Cultural Fund to support young players who want to be part of the Canberra Youth Orchestra.
We seek to provide opportunities for young musicians and these scholarships target players of instruments that are sometimes hard to find, but play an important part in being able to present orchestral works.
These scholarships will target young musicians who may otherwise be unable to afford to join in the weekly rehearsals, regular performances and other activities of the CYO.
Donations will be used to subsidise the tuition fees required to be part of the CYO.
Gifts in Wills
If our work has played an important role in your life or the lives of loved ones, you could make an enormous difference in helping us ensure high quality, accessible arts programming and education for future generations in the Canberra community.
If you would like to leave a gift in your will, we recommend discussing this with a solicitor, and providing them with the details of our organisation below.
