Music For Canberra at the CAP Expo
Music For Canberra was excited to be part of the Connect and Participate Expo on Saturday 24 March 2018 at the Old Bus Depot in Kingston. We had lots of lovely visitors to the stall and to the sing-a-long session in the afternoon.

Dr Stephanie Neeman joins Music For Canberra as CEO/Artistic Director
It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of a new CEO/Artistic Director at Music For Canberra. Dr Stephanie Neeman will commence in the role in the second half of Term 1 and we are very excited to welcome her to MFC.

Canberra Youth Orchestra ends their 50th Anniversary Series with jazz icon James Morrison
The Canberra Youth Orchestra has finished 2017 on a high, after their Llewellyn Hall concert on Saturday evening, featuring the iconic jazz musician, James Morrison and his quartet - his sons, William Morrison on guitar and Harry Morrison on bass, and drummer Patrick Danao.

Canberra Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition
Congratulations to our Concerto Competition winner Chayla Ueckert-Smith and runner up Shirahni Mudaliar and all of the CYO for a wonderful concert last Saturday night. Both Chayla and Shirahni wowed audiences with their chosen concertos. Make sure you get your tickets for CYO's last concert in their 50th series featuring James Morrison.
Canberra Youth Orchestra performs Australian premiere with Gabi Sultana
Internationally acclaimed pianist Gabi Sultana performed with the Canberra Youth Orchestra in the Australian premiere of Philip Glass' Tirol Concerto for Piano and Orchestra on Saturday evening. Also performing Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D Major, "Titan", the Canberra Youth Orchestra played enthusiastically and skilfully in this challenging piece. Congratulations to Gabi, Leonard, the CYO players, and the alumni who kindly performed in the Mahler.
