Group lessons for young musicians (7-15 Years) living with disability.
Wednesday at 5:30pm - 6:15pm with Karen Owens.

Our Mixed Ability Program of music groups designed for young people living with disability, uses the powerful (and fun!) medium of music to encourage participants to develop skills in coordination, concentration, social interaction and gain self-confidence.

The tutors for this program are music educators and professional musicians with experience working with people with diverse needs, engaging with musical genres and instruments from many cultures. Participants attend these group sessions with their support workers, who are expected to play an active role in the class

Music Craft for Young People (7-15 Years) living with disability offers an opportunity for participants to learn musical foundations in a group setting, as a fun introduction to learning music. Through singing, dance and playing percussion and other instruments, students develop rhythmic awareness in a fun and relaxed environment.

Music For Canberra believes strongly in the importance of performance in improving the self-confidence and musical ability of students of all ages.
