Are you looking for other guitarists to practice and play with? Music for Canberra and Canberra Classical Guitar Society are pleased to announce the recommencement of Canberra Guitar Ensemble. Regardless of your age, whether you're a budding musician or a seasoned player, this is the perfect opportunity to join a vibrant community of guitar enthusiasts.
Our Guitar Ensemble welcomes individuals with acoustic guitar-playing skill level equivalent to at least AMEB grade 3 and the ability to read standard music notation. With a rich repertoire spanning various genres, the Guitar Ensemble will provide a dynamic and inclusive environment for all.
The ensemble will perform 4-part compositions either written for or transcribed for classical guitar. Connor Whyte, winner of the 2022 Adelaide International Guitar Competition, leads the ensemble. Whether you're looking to refine your technique, embrace a newfound passion, or simply connect with like-minded guitar aficionados, our Guitar Ensemble is your gateway to an exciting musical journey.
* Guitar Ensemble is run during the ACT school term and will align as much as possible with the school term schedule. Weekly lesson times will not change.
